Greetings and welcome to my archive of (eventually) everything i wrote for the SF Bay Times from 1986 to approximately 2010. My regular column was called Beat This and it was predominantly about rock and roll music but would often stray into other topics like drugs, sex, politics, my cat, drag queens, death, AIDS, activism, alienation, manners, secret gay guy things, performance art, artists, clubs, and me. It was a very exciting stretch of time to have a regular forum published monthly and eventually weekly so i decided i should collect them and present them in one place for posterity and hopefully your reading pleaure. Creating a website domain and gathering my work to put on it is an ongoing task and pretty new to me and I’m still bringing it together. My apologies for not having things in any form of chronological order. I’m just dating stuff and posting it but eventually i will be able to provide an order. honestly i think i may have entire years dated wrong. deal with it and enjoy my wild ride through the magic that is Beat This. select from the archives in the menu
